1. STOP ________________. START ________________. 

-Luke 12:15-21

Then I observed that most people are motivated to success because they envy their neighbors. But this, too, is meaningless—like chasing the wind. (Ecclesiastes 4:4) (NLT)

A heart of peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones.

(Proverbs 14:30)

-Matthew 6

Sell your possessions and give to those in need. This will store up treasure for you in heaven…(Luke 12:33a) (NLT)

Enjoy what you have rather than desiring what you don’t have…

Digging Deeper

Q1: Complete this statement… “If I had more money I would…” (be honest☺)

Q2: Can you think of a time in your life when you had “less” but seemed to enjoy it “more”?  If so, explain.

Q3: Study Mathew 13:44-46.  What does this parable teach about the value of money?  What does this parable teach about the value of God’s Kingdom?

Q4: Read I John 2:15-17.  How does this passage re-enforce what Solomon is saying in Ecclesiastes?

Q5: What do you think motivates people to “hoard”?  Do you think hoarding is just a matter of degrees?  Explain  

Q6: How might you to store up treasure in heaven this week?

Q7: Someone once said… “When a person with experience meets a person with money, the person with experience will get the money and the person with the money will get the experience.”  Have you found that to be true?  If so, explain.

Q8: Someone once said that “God gave us money as a tool, a test and a testimony.”  What do you think was meant by this statement?
