Do you remember everything you learned in school? Of course not! Like anything else, you need to use it or lose it. That’s why we think it is important to continually be studying God’s Word. The Christian Education Committee monitors the content, teaching, equipping, Scriptural principals and direction used in all church educational programs—Sunday school, Junior church, fellowship groups, library—as well as coordinating the nursery program. The committee is chaired by the one of our Pastors, has a Secretary, as well as the Heads of the various Christian Ed ministry teams. The committee should be a resource to these various groups in discerning acceptable printed or audio-visual commercial material.

Summer Children’s Bible School
During the summer, Alta Vista does not run the our regular Sunday School and Junior Church program, however it does like to offer a summer children’s program for children of all ages. This ministry requires leaders and helpers who will commit to one week in the summer to instruct, teach and supervise children.
