Exalting Christ and Loving People

Suspension of In-Person Worship

Premier Doug Ford announced a modified Stage 2 for Ottawa starting October 10th. The Ontario Government and Public Health Officials are strongly urging us to stay home for 28 days and only go out for essential purposes. Therefore, we are suspending in-person worship services for 28 days, starting immediately. We will still be live-streaming at 10:30 am on Sunday from the church, with only essential staff present.

We will be continuing to live-stream services for the foreseeable future. If you can’t join us in person, check back before the next service for the live-stream link or subscribe to the YouTube channel. Sermon notes, sermon audio, and service links will continue to be posted each week. See below or go to https://altavistabaptist.org/category/sermons/ for even more past services.

Due to COVID-19 on-site meetings have been paused…but we still have a lot going on and God is at work!

Have a question? Need someone to talk to?

There is a new page summarizing ways which you can support the ongoing financial needs of the church, even while we cannot meet in person.

Annual General Meeting postponed to this fall:
Plans are underway to combine our two annual congregational meetings into one meeting on Tuesday, November 17. At that meeting we plan to approve the 2019 audited statements, elect officers, review the annual report and vote on our 2021 budget.
