1. THE TRIALS REVEAL THE PURPOSE OF JESUS

Matt. 26-27, Mark 14-15, Luke 22-23, John 18-19

Now My soul is troubled and distressed, and what shall I say? Father, save Me from this hour of trial and agony? But it was for this very purpose that I have come to this hour! (Amp, John 12:27)

…For Herod Antipas, Pontius Pilate the governor, the Gentiles and all the people of Israel were united against Jesus, Your holy servant whom You anointed. In fact, everything they did occurred according to Your eternal will and plan. (NLT, Acts 4:27-28)

2. THE ___________ REVEALS THE PASSION OF JESUS

John 19:16-30

Christ sacrificed His life’s blood to set us free which means that our sins are now forgiven. Christ did this because of God’s amazing grace. (Ephesians 1:7)

No one can take my life from me. I lay down my life voluntarily. For I have the right to lay it down when I want to and also the power to take it again. For my Father has given me this command. (John 10:18)

3. THE RESURRECTION REVEALS THE __________ OF JESUS.

I Corinthians 15, Matthew 28:1-7

After His suffering, He showed himself to these men and gave many convincing proofs that He was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God. (Acts 1:3)

John 20:15-20,26-28,21:1,10-14, Acts 1:3;10:37-41

The Good News is about his Son. In his earthly life he was born into King David’s family line, and he was shown to be the Son of God when he was raised from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit. He is Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 1:3-4)

I pray that you will begin to understand how incredibly great His power is to help those who believe Him. It is that same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead. (Eph. 1:19-20) (LB)
