Digging Deeper
(For use in personal/family devotions or with your care group)
Q1: As a child what was your favourite family Christmas tradition? What about in adulthood?
Q2: Share about a time when you chose restraint, compassion and mercy with someone instead of the shame and disgrace they deserved.
Q3: Has there ever been a time when you underestimated God and He came through BIG time for you? What happened?
Q4: How can you show love to someone in your family this season?
Q5: How should Matthew 1:21 shape the way you read the rest of this gospel?
Q6: Read Matthew 5:17-18 and Galatians 4:4-5. Why did God choose to send the Saviour to us under the law, not above it?
Q7: How does Jesus fulfill Isaiah 7:14? How did Jesus’ birth fulfill the promise of Genesis 3:15?
