Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. (Colossians 3:23,24)  (Proverbs 6:6-11;  24:30-34)

Digging Deeper

Q1: What was your first job?  Do you remember any lessons you learned at your first job that continued to help you out in future employment?  If so, what were those lessons?

Q2: Who are some examples in your life of hard work?  How about smart work?

Q3: Read Genesis 1:28-31 and 2:15. What do these verses teach you about work?

Q4: Pastor David said part of working wisely is the ability to accept the mess at times. Have you ever experience work that was both productive and messy at the same time?     If so, explain.

Q5: Read John 625-29.  What work and salvation principles can you glean from this text? 

Q6: What kind of work gives you satisfaction; a sense that you are doing what God made you to do?  What can you do to open up more opportunities for yourself to do that kind of work? 

Q7: Read Psalm 90.  What does this passage say to you about working wisely?
