And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he (Jesus) explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself. He said to them, “This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.” (Luke 24:27,44)

Q:  Why do most people not sense the need for a Saviour?

1. Jesus is simply ___________ in the hub-bub and pressures of life.

The one who received the seed that fell among the thorns is the man who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke it, making it unfruitful. (Matthew 13:22)

2. ______________________ are failing to tell the lost about Jesus.

Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?  Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ. (Romans 10:13,14,17)

Everyone needs a _________________!

3. Most people have a messed up understanding of what it takes to be

Justification by ________________

We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, with undeserved kindness, declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood…God did this to demonstrate his righteousness, for he himself is fair and just, and he declares sinners to be right in his sight when they believe in Jesus. (Romans 3:22-24, 25a.26b) (NLT)
