1)  YOU ARE MADE IN GOD’S IMAGE

  • You were CREATED from the PERFECT mold
  • You were known BEFORE you were BORN

“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”

– Psalm 139:13-16

2)  YOU ARE GOD’S CHILD

  • You are a NEW CREATION (2 Corinthians 5:17, Romans 8:28-30, Ephesians 4:20-24)
  • You are ADOPTED into God’s family (Ephesians 1:4-5)
  • YOU are LOVED by God (Galatians 2:20, 1 John 4:16, Jeremiah 31:3)

“For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” – Zephaniah 3:17

3)  YOU ARE GOD’S MASTERPIECE

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” – Ephesians 2:10

  • You are not FINISHED (Philippians 1:6, 2:13,

Titus 3:5, Psalm 51:10-13, Ezekiel 36:26-27)

  • You are being MOULDED and CHANGED

(Isaiah 64:8, Jeremiah 18:3-4)

Digging Deeper

Q1: What is the best thing you have created?

Q2: How can remembering that God planned your size, shape, and mental abilities help you view your own physical appearance and mental capabilities rightly? How does this help you view others as God does?

Q3: Read 2 Corinthians 5:14-17. Why did Christ die for us according to this passage?

Q4: Paul says in vs. 5:17 that in Christ we are a new creation.  What has become new in your life?

Q5: How does your personal outlook on life change knowing that God loves the “individual” you?

Q6: Read the verses from part #3. In what ways do you see God continuing to mould and change your life?
