So now I hate life because everything done here under the sun is so irrational. Everything is meaningless, like chasing the wind. (Ecc. 2:17)

1. Humility strengthens ____________________.

Don’t be selfish; don’t live to make a good impression on others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourself. Don’t think only about your own affairs, but be interested in others, too, and what they are doing.

So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and in his good time he will honor you. Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about what happens to you. (I Peter 5:6-7)

Q1:  What do you think most people are searching/longing for today?  

Q2:  If someone were to ask you what you are looking for in life, what would you say?  

Q3:  Study Philippians 2:1-11.  What lessons about humility do you discover in those verses?

Q4:  Have you seen pride destroy relationships or seen humility strengthen relationships?  

If so, explain.

Q5: What do the following verses teach you about God’s provision?

-I John 1:9, II Corinthians 9:8, II Peter 1:3, Hebrews 13:5, John 10:10, Matt 6:33, Matt 7:11

Q6:  Have you ever had a time in your life when you finally “let go and let God”?  

If so, describe how you experienced God’s power and provision.
