Q1: When you see someone being treated unfairly, what feelings rise up within you?
Q2: Have you ever stepped in when you saw an injustice taking place? If so, what happened? What was the outcome?
Q3: Think of a specific time when you were treated unfairly? What emotions did you experience? How did you respond? How did you feel like responding? ☺
Q4: Read Genesis 37:23-35 and Genesis 45:3-5, 14-15. What does this story teach you about unfair treatment, our response and God’s involvement in our struggles?
Q5: Why is exercising revenging never a positive or productive response?
List as many reasons as you can.
Q6: Think of a time when you risked reconciliation. How did you approach the conversation? What were the results…positive and/or negative?
Q7: If you were to tackle that situation again, is there anything you would do differently?
If so, what?
Q8: Pastor David suggested that you can forgive someone but still not trust them. What do you think about that statement? What biblical passages support such a statement?
