Text: 1 Samuel 18
Success– ability to look around and perceive people and situations from God’s perspective
Jesus– there is no true success apart from a right relationship with God (Luke 12)
Fire tests the purity of silver and gold, but a person is tested by being praised. (Proverbs 27:21)
Q: How can I succeed with success?
1. Understand that success creates _______________.

Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honour one another above yourselves…Rejoice with those who rejoice… (Romans 12:10,15)

Q3: Read Deuteronomy 8:10-14,17. What are the dangers of success that are described in this passage? Any principles to help you succeed with success?
Q4: Pastor David talked about both friends and enemies in our success journey. How has the Lord used people to help you stay grounded in the midst of success?
Q5: Read 1 Peter 5:1-11. What do these verses teach us about true success? Are there any particular principles that those in leadership should take note of?
