“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” – 1 John 1:9

Make Him Known - Mid-America Navigators

1)  YOU ARE RESTORED

“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us.”

– Ephesians 1:7-8

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul…”

– Psalm 23:1-3

2)  YOU ARE CHOSEN

“You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.” – John 15:16-19

“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” – 1 Peter 2:9

3)  YOU ARE COMPLETE IN CHRIST

“For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.” – Colossians 2:9-10

Digging Deeper

Q1: What is something that you completed that you take great personal pride in?

Q2: How has our culture come to take sin lightly? How do you do this in your own life?

Q3: Share a story about a time of restoration in a relationship in your life.

Q4: Read John 15:16-19. Who does the choosing and appointing? What does this mean to you?

Q5: Are you “bearing fruit” as a follower of Jesus? How? If not, why not?

Q6: Read Colossians 1:9-14. What pictures of spiritual progress did Paul use in this passage? What principles do each picture teach?

Q7: Is there someone in your life that you need to ask forgiveness from/receive forgiveness from? Spend some time in prayer for this person.
